Venezuela – A Warning to the World
The current critical situation in Venezuela is a humanitarian tragedy that deserves analysis and understanding. The country is facing a serious economic and social crisis, leading many citizens to rummage through garbage cans in search of food. In this analysis, it is essential to address the involvement of both former President Hugo Chávez and current President Nicolás Maduro.
Hugo Chávez, President of Venezuela from 1999 until his death in 2013, is considered one of the main people responsible for the current crisis. During his term, Chávez implemented populist policies that aimed to expand the role of the State in the economy. However, his flawed economic policies, including the nationalization of key sectors, and corruption, contributed to the degradation of the Venezuelan economic system.
After Chávez's death, Nicolás Maduro assumed the presidency in 2013 and remains in power to this day. His administration has been marked by an even greater deterioration in the country's economic and social conditions. Economic mismanagement and widespread corruption have led to rampant hyperinflation, food and medicine shortages, the collapse of public services and rising crime.
The Venezuelan government’s relationship with drug trafficking is a complex issue, with high-ranking officials involved in illicit activities, drug trafficking in Venezuela benefits from corruption and a lack of state control.
However, this crisis cannot be fully understood without considering the external support that the Venezuelan government has received over the years. This is where the Foro de São Paulo comes in, a coalition of political entities and left-wing movements in Latin America, which has played a significant role in providing ideological and financial support to the Venezuelan regime.
The "Foro de São Paulo" is the name of a coalition of entities that meet regularly to discuss political strategies. It is formed by political parties, armed movements, government leaders and organizations involved in drug trafficking-related activities. It was created in 1990, in a joint initiative of the Brazilian Workers' Party (PT) and the Cuban Communist Party (PCC) with the aim of coordinating political actions and strategies in Latin America. It supported both Chávez and Maduro, providing political and ideological support, including Brazil's participation in financing the Venezuelan dictatorship, which occurred through the National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES) during the government of the Workers' Party (PT). The BNDES granted millionaire loans to Venezuela. These loans raised questions about the financial viability and morality of this action, especially in view of the worsening economic and humanitarian crisis in Venezuela.
PT marketing agents were sent to help Maduro's campaign, which indicates a strategy of political influence on Brazil's part. This action raises questions about the ethics involved in supporting and financing a dictatorship.
The critical situation in Venezuela clearly reveals the dangers and consequences of socialism. Populist policies and increased state control have resulted in an unprecedented economic and social collapse.
The participation of the Foro de São Paulo and the financing of the Venezuelan dictatorship by Brazil through the BNDES are part of the plan to install socialism throughout the region. These facts raise questions about the ethics and morality involved in supporting totalitarian regimes and in practices of political manipulation.
Therefore, the critical situation in Venezuela serves as a warning about the dangers of socialism, highlighting the importance of responsible economic policies, transparent governance, the fight against corruption and respect for human rights.
